Aeotec's Recessed Door Sensor 7 is designed as the door sensor always should have been. It doesn't stand out from your home's decor or stack onto your door. Instead it installs within your door frame, invisibly monitoring and reporting whenever it opens and closes.

The Recessed Door Sensor tells you and your Z-Wave network if a door is open or closed and enables you to create a whole new level of control through Z-Wave Plus. With it, you can trigger alarms through your Z-Wave network, know when someone arrives or leaves, or create automated events when the sensor is triggered. All enabled by one simple, powerful and invisible device. Z-Wave compatible.

Despite its small size, Recessed Door Sensor's wireless communication is powered by the same powerful technology that underpins much of Aeotec's home automation range: Z-Wave Plus. Each unit offers low-power communication over a distance of as much as 131 feet (40 m) indoors and 492 feet / (150 m) outdoors.

Installing the Recessed Door Sensor 7 is easy. Adding it to your home's network takes no more than activating its battery and syncing it with your Z-Wave system. The sensor is easily hidden from plain sight with just a slight drill hole into the frame of your door. Installation takes no more than 10 minutes but provides years' worth of benefits.
