Product Description
The modular Global Caché Global Connect is the newest high performance family of connectivity products. Global Connect is the next generation for IP connectivity and control. The Global Connect is comprised of three elements: the chassis, the number of slots per chassis, and installed modules. Global Connect features individual IP addresses for each module with individual web pages for easy configuration, advanced addressability, and backward compatibility to current Global Caché hardware.
The Global Connect uses an online web tool to configure settings for each installed module. Download and run Global Caché's iHelp program to configure the Global Connect. The program will detect the individual IP addresses for each of the modules installed. Select the module you wish to adjust settings for and apply the relevant changes.
This Global Connect RPI Model includes a Raspberry Pi computer, PoE connection, and (2) Serial, IR and CC Relay Modules.
Raspberry Pi:
The Raspberry Pi is a single board computer that provides unlimited opportunities for control and automation, including resident control software, hub software for cloud-based software and/or voice controlled user interfaces,video streaming, and more. The Raspberry Pi comes pre-equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth compatibility and pre-compiled Linux images to configure powerful support for existing or new software programs connected to your home network.
Bi-directional Serial RS232:
- Connects RS232 devices to the network and other serial devices
- Each RS232 interface includes a male DTE (Data Terminal Equipment) DB9 connector
3 IR Emitters/ 1 IR Blaster Cable:
- Includes three 3.5mm stereo jack ports acting as independent IR outputs or 3 sensor inputs
- Each IR emitter has a range of 1 inch (2.5 cm) and must be placed directly on top of the IR receiver of the controlled device
- IR blaster transmits up to 35 feet (10 meters)
- Includes built in IR learning
6 Contact Closure Relays:
- External devices are connected via 1x6 push-release terminal blocks
- Simple dry contact triggers a relay event by controlling power delivery to voltage or contact inputs
- To switch a relay, press the desired ports toggle to turn it On or Off and the relay will change to the set state
