IST I2000 Intercom Room Station

The I2000R room station is designed for indoor use. It will provide intercom, radio and input for any portable music source. You can communicate and monitor other stations including the master. Door communications can also be answered from room stations as well as the master and patio. External 30 watt 8 ohm ceiling and in-wall speakers (optional equipment) can be connected directly off any room station for improved sound quality. The room station allows you to play music from the radio, its local line source (3.5mm jack located on the bottom of the room unit) and the auxiliary input wall plate.

If your IST system is connected to an Amazon Echo or Echo Dot, you can issue voice commands through any Room or Patio station and hear responses and streaming audio through your IST intercoms. Once connected to Alexa, Press Talk on any Room or Patio Station to send voice commands to your Amazon device.

Room, patio, and door units use a standard depth plastic 2-gang box. Typically these units will install 50 inches off the floor. The suggested manufacturer brand of the 2-gang box is Carlon, model B232 series and BH 235 series. Cut a hole in the sheetrock to mount the 2-gang boxes for the room, patio, and door units. Before you mount the 2-gang box feed the Cat5 wiring through the 2-gang box and then mount the 2-gang box. The suggested mounting for these units is 50 inches from the floor.
