The Kwikset Convert Smart Lock Conversion Kit with Zigbee adds Zigbee wireless connectivity to your existing deadbolt lock by replacing the interior assembly and thumbturn with one with a Zigbee radio. By replacing only the interior assembly, you keep your existing deadbolt and lock, saving you from having to get a new set of keys. This also has the advantage of maintaining the style of your existing exterior lock. The Smart Lock Conversion Kit includes Kwikset's Home Connect™ Technology, which enables your Kwikset door lock to wirelessly communicate with your home automation or security system. Once connected to a Zigbee compatible smart home hub or security controller, the Convert Smart Lock can be remotely locked and unlocked and deliver notifications to your smartphone. Additionally it can be added to automated smart home routines or security systems, triggering devices such as smart light switches, security alarms, or appliance modules to activate/deactivate based on the lock's status.
