Optex 180-Degree Panoramic Outdoor PIR Motion Detector, Anti-Masking

The Optex WX Shield (WXS) Series of 180° Panoramic Outdoor PIR Motion Detectors is a family of high or low mount 180° external sensors comprising 4 PIR sensors to detect approaching intrusions up to 40ft away. With its wide and comprehensive field of view and the ability to tailor its settings to meet the environment around your premise, the WXS Series will provide an effective solution for new & existing security systems.

• Dual Motion Detection Zones: QXI sensors emit PIR and microwave waves to track movement. When a subject enters the PIR and microwave fields at the same time, the sensor notifies you.
• Reduce/Eliminate False Alarms: Dual motion detection zones reduces the likelihood of false alarms caused by other motion sensors noticing small objects entering the monitored area
• Individual Alarm Outputs: WXS triggers alarm signals both left and right side individually, making it useful for PTZ activation and direction recognition.
• Self-Learning IR Digital Anti-Masking: WXS series sensors detect covering objects on the lens surface, whether from intentional tampering or environmental factors including rain, direct sunlight, or insects.
• Selectable Mounting Height: WXS series sensors optimal installation heights range between 2'7 ft to 9ft. 4ft and lower installations are considered "Low Mounting" with a max PIR range of 40ft. 9ft to 4ft installations are considered "High Mounting" with a max range of 30ft. Higher mounting reduces the likelihood of vandalization or lens masking.
• Blue Touch™ Design: All parts that configure device settings are colored in blue, making an installation a more user friendly procedure.
• Day/Night Mode: Night mode is selectable if alarm outputs are required only when ambient luminance becomes dark.
• Screw-Free Design: You can open / close the front cover and remove / put the main unit without any screws, shortening install times.
• Area Masking Shutter: The size of detection areas can be changed with the rotary sliding area masking shutter. Unwanted detection areas within PIR zones can be masked with the included area masking plate.
