ELK Retrofit Data Bus Hub for Alarm Engine

The ELK Alarm Engine Retrofit Data Bus Hub (model ELK-AEDBHR) is an active RS-485 data bus hub designed to enhance and modernize existing alarm systems. It enables the integration of ELK's Alarm Engine Control with older panels that utilize multiple home-run 4-conductor keypad/data wires. It enhances system performance by creating multiple data bus branches, which help distribute communication more efficiently and eliminate the need for daisy chaining. Adding the ELK-AEDBHR to an ELK Alarm Engine system allows for the retention of existing wiring while upgrading to the advanced capabilities of the ELK Alarm Engine. This approach minimizes installation time and costs associated with extensive rewiring.
