Global Cache Global Connect, GC5 w/ HDMI Switch, Serial, IR Port

Built with performance, flexibility, and empowering in mind, Global Connect's design is based on open systems to work with any control software or hardware, delivering a simple cost-effective way to extend the reach of any control system. Global Connect is the next generation for IP connectivity and control. The Global Connect is comprised of three elements: the chassis, the number of slots per chassis, and installed modules. The Global Caché Global Connect GC5 with HDMI Switch, Serial, IR Port includes 3 HDMI inputs, an RS232 serial port, and 3 emitter IR ports/sensor inputs.

3 Input: 1 Output HDMI Switch:

• Switches between 3 sources and 1 output at resolutions up to UHD 4K at 60Hz
• Detects the On/Off/Standby status of connected HDMI devices
• Includes HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronic Control) which provides easy command and control of devices connected through HDMI
• Supports HDCP 2.2 (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) devices

Bi-directional Serial RS232:

• Connects RS232 devices to the network and other serial devices
• Each RS232 interface includes a male DTE (Data Terminal Equipment) DB9 connector

3 IR Emitters/ 1 IR Blaster Cable:

• Includes three 3.5mm stereo jack ports acting as independent IR outputs or sensor inputs
• Each IR emitter has a range of 1 inch (2.5 cm) and must be placed directly on top of the IR receiver of the controlled device
• IR blaster transmits up to 35 feet (10 meters)
• Includes built in IR learning

The Global Connect uses an online web tool to configure settings for each installed module. Download and run Global Caché's iHelp program to configure the Global Connect. The program will detect the individual IP addresses for each of the modules installed. Select the module you wish to adjust settings for and apply the relevant changes.
