The smart lock can be accessed by entering a 4-8 digit passcode into its keypad, Auto-Unlocking via near proximity detection, and remotely unlocking it using the Yale Access mobile app. The Yale Pro 2 Lock utilizes Bluetooth signals for near proximity functions including Auto-Lock and Auto-Unlock, as well as changing settings, creating and sharing passcodes, and more through the Yale Access app. The Yale Pro 2 Lock ensures every method of unlocking the smart lock is protected with advanced security features including a fingerprint resistant keypad, two-layer encryption, and two-factor authentication. This model is also certified with IPX5 Coastal Grade Rating and 90 Minute Fire Rating which ensure the lock will operate during rainy weather or in fire related emergencies.

Multiple ekey can be shared at once and can even be configured to allow access at certain days and times. Other features include activity monitoring to receive real time notifications of device usage and review past usage, and reviewing real time device status.
