The Aeotec Water Sensor 7 Basic monitors and alerts you to the presence of water in sensitive areas. The Water Sensor 7 Basic can detect minuscule amounts of water – as little as 0.5mm / 0.02" of water, and can automatically shut off valves, pumps, or nearby electrical devices when programmed into an automated scene. The sensor can also detect the absence of water when placed within cisterns or water tanks.

The Aeotec Water Sensor 7 Basic prevents costly water damage from occurring due to water leaks. It can be placed in areas where water is regularly used or where potential water presence is hazardous such as under a sink, near a hot water heater, by a washing machine, or anywhere else water leakage is most probable. This sensor also can be programmed to measure and report water levels in important water containers including pools, septic tanks, water tanks, and more.
