When added into a smart security or automation system, it can send alerts if a door, window, or other open/close object is moved, and trigger other devices to automatically activate including alarms, thermostats, lights, and more. The IQ Shock Mini-S is capable of utilizing Qolsys's custom notification and security alerts when paired with a Qolsys IQ NS Control Panel or IQ 4 Hub, including customizable chimes and unique names spoken by the panels text-to-speech functions.
